American Idol Songwriting Contest
I’m working this week on tracking “Believe in your Dreams”. A song I wrote with singer songwriter Lisbet Frey. This is an inspirational song about reminding ourselves to live out our dreams and never give up. It seems to perfect fit to submit for the American Idol songwriting contest. Wish us Luck!

ROCKIN' IN 2007!!!
To all my friends. I know everyone will have a Rockin' 2007! There is lots’ going on this year. I am finally releasing a CD some time this summer. I have several tracks recorded and have decided to write some new material for the second half to keep things more current. The songs are turning out great and I am very excited about you hearing them. You can find a sample on my music page. I am producing and playing on a CD with Rachel Sedacca (www.rachelsedacca.com ) sometime this year. It will be the follow up to her smash hit debut CD Lucky Like Me. Look for its release toward the end of the year. You can catch me and Rachel playing together at various cool places around town too. Check our calendar pages for more details. Tony Perry has asked me to produce his next CD. A follow up to his debut release “Ghost in the Attic”. This is going to be a CD full of great songs that the great Duke Ellington made famous back before WWII. “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore”, Satin Doll, and Solitude are just to name a few. These tracks will have a full horn section and several guest solo appearances. I am honored to pay the Duke all the respect he has earned. Check out Tony’s myspace page – www.myspace.com/altonperry or my music page for some sneak peeks of what is coming. Also scheduled is a three week tour of Ireland early the summer with Tony Perry and the gang. We are playing at all the cool places from Dublin to Carey to Dingle. Yes Dingle is a town…I think they are famous for growing berries. Anyway stay tuned and stay in touch. 2007 is going to be a wild ride.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone. It is by far my favorite Holiday. All about giving thanks for what you already have. What can be better for the soul than that? Oh yeah lets not forget about Family and Food.
I played great show with Tony Perry, Jack Joshua, and Jim Monahan on Friday at the Theater 150. We were joined by Tony’s brother John Perry from the Ojai Valley Boys and Don Fanning on percussion. Memorable night indeed. Especially for me when my guitar quit on me on the first song and I ended up using Jim’s Taylor 900 series that is a lefty strung righty. Check out the photos posted in the pictures section. Sunday I played at the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Alta Dena with Rachel Sedacca. This legendary venue regularly features such fantastic performers as the Riders of the Purple Sage and BerkelyHart. We had a great crowd that was there to listen and appreciate great Americana music. I have a few up coming Holiday gigs in December check out the calendar page for all the details. Don’t forget to join my email list too.

Producing 103 Date Sessions with RACHEL SEDDACA I just spent a few weeks working on a CD for Singer Songwriting sensation Rachel Seddaca. She is an amazing talent. We recorded twelve guitar vocal tracks here at The Ranch. Most of them were single takes. I added some addtional guitar work. I think the CD came out great and really showcases Rachel’s silky soulful voice. Rachel is heading off on a six week, 23 date tour through the Midwest. Check her out at www.rachelsedacca.com. Wish Rachel good luck and sign her guest book! You can buy her latest CD as well as her previous studio release on her website.
